The letter Huck was going to write to Miss Watson is very interesting. His conscience finally kicks in and he decides that he might need to check in. Also he does not want to mention Jim or he will get in trouble. Huck acts as if helping Jim is a sin. He thinks that God will condemn him for helping Jim. The society has corrupted Huck into thinking that slavery is what God wants. It is ironic because God wants the complete opposite. God wants freedom of all people. Huck finally decides that he is willing to go to hell for Jim. Even though that would be the opposite of what he would receive for helping him.
